Everyone was SHOCKED that I was able to get Peonies in August. I did have some concerns when about half of them opened wide the day they were delivered and the other half threatened to catch up, but they ended up being a perfect mix. The fully opened ones were part of the centerpieces in jars with fairy lights, and the late bloomers did well in my bouquet. We were able to keep them in stasis before the wedding by following the processing directions and putting them in our mini fridge (we put newspaper around the heads to keep them from touching the freezer section). We took the centerpiece flowers to a friend's bed and breakfast afterwards and they lasted the week. A few were still going when we left but I'm not sure how much longer they were going to make it. This was the perfect choice for us, a bit of a gamble, but ended up working out with the timing of delivery and the flower heads opening.
