Best Day Ever

We were planning a wedding on a very tight budget but one thing I was not willing to budge on was having real flowers. After researching all of my local florist options I realized DIY was the only way I could afford what I truly wanted. I had never made any centerpieces or bouquets before so I was pretty intimidated at first. But I knew that mason jar centerpieces would be something I could handle. My sister in law and I painted the mason jars ourselves and then I sanded the raised lettering to make them appear more "vintage". Once my flowers arrived, my Hubby to be prepped them and put them in water. Since we live in Florida, we made sure to keep blinds closed and crank up the ac so the flowers would not bloom too quickly. The evening before our wedding we made the centerpieces and bouquets. Approximately 25 centerpieces and 2 bouquets took us about 2 1/2 hrs. And it was so fun. Didn't feel like work at all! I love how our flowers turned out and I love that our guests were able to take home a mason jar. Fifty Flowers was awesome. Their Customer Service is stellar. And their flowers are top notch.
