I recommend these as peony substitutes often for a REASON - They are superstar performers, bloomed out HUGE! and were hardy and wonderful. Some of them did blow out really big/open, so I petaled them or tucked them into the centerpieces - no worries! I had planned to use 9 in each of our bridesmaids' bouquets (yes, I'm one of these girls in yellow) but 7 were PLENTY as they were so big! Smelled like heaven.

I love peonies and they are not in season in August. However... Violet suggested the Yves Piaget! I absolutely loved them. They were so soft and romantic. Many people thought they were peonies! I loved, loved, loved them!
