Only 40 stems of one variety

I ordered 40 stems of the variety pack, but the package was sent via standard 7 day Fedex, via hot Miami. There were no flowers but the floral care kit. After I complained that my flowers had no reason to go to Miami and then back to California, they sent 40 stems of the Pink Ice variety which is I believe a different price. However to their credit the replacement Pink Ice flowers arrived in time. The floral care kit package had no flowers with them and arrived after the event. I have no explanation of what happened to the 40 stem variety pack I ordered.
I lived in South Africa for 5 years and they have more varieties of Protea than I can count. It's their national flower, so I was looking forward to the order. But oh well.....

Farm variety pack - received only one variety

I purchased the farm variety pack which stores you will receive at least two varieties. I received 20 stems of the same variety. The flowers are in good shape but very disappointed I only received one flower variety

Not a great variety

I received 20 stems, carefully packaged and tightly closed, ready to bloom over the next few days, as expected. But I received a dozen of one variety, 7 stems of a second, and one single stem of a third. All but the one are red. Hardly the variety I hoped for.

I absolutely loved the protea! They were my favorite part! These flowers were hearty and HUGE and exotic. We used them as the feature flower in all of our centerpieces and bouquets (my bridal bouquet had 4!!!). The only reason I am not giving them a 5 star is because about half of the pincushion protea in the variety pack came squished (it looked almost as if someone sat on them) and they were unusable. Those pincushion protea are very delicate, so I expected it. It was okay though, because what I was really excited for were the pink ice protea! And they were GORGEOUS! And every single one in the package was usable. Keep in mind though, some of the stems on these flowers are thick -- like tree branch thick. I had to call my dad and have him bring his tree branch cutters to trim them down. They also made the handle part of the bouquet a lot thicker, but I wanted that anyways!

The protea were an impressive, unexpected element next to the more traditional flowers in the bouquets and arrangements. They added great texture and dimension in color.
